Southern California Communities Face Devastating Wildfires: How You Can Help

Our hearts are heavy as devastating wildfires impact our colegas and familia throughout Southern California. While many of our familias have lost everything and so many others are still living through uncertainty, we are witnessing the power of our communities and the mutual support that has always defined us. 

The stories emerging are heartbreaking and while our local partners are confronting their own challenges, they have also been moving quickly to create lifelines of support for those most affected. After checking in with our local partners and making sure they’re safe, they’ve asked us to share the following resources. Their work speaks to the very essence of our work, so we will continue to share resources as develop for immediate assistance and long-term recovery.

Your Path to Action: Emergency Relief Resources 

• Latino Community Foundation has activated its California Wildfire Relief Fund to provide immediate support to affected communities. 
• California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund is building bridges between immediate relief and long-term recovery, ensuring no one is left behind.
• Al Otro Lado stands firm in solidarity, gathering essential supplies for our displaced neighbors and migrant workers – the often invisible heroes of our caretaking and agricultural economy.
• Philanthropy California has launched a coordinated Disaster Response, proving that unified action has a domino effect.
• 805 UndocuFund is providing disaster relief support to undocumented community members who may not have access to traditional relief programs.
