Bayoán Rosselló-Cornier

As HIP’s first Associate Director of the Power Building and Justice initiative, Bayoán is tasked with building out this new impact area. The role blends his deep experience being a community organizer working in grassroots community-led organizations and his experience working as a Senior Program Manager handling environmental health and justice grants at the Liberty Hill Foundation.
After graduating from Boston College in 2006, Bayoán began his career as a labor organizer leading campaign to unionize airport newsstand and food service works in Newark, NJ and New York, NY. After completing his Masters of Public Policy at Tufts University, he moved to Los Angeles and spent a year at the East LA Community Corporation (ELACC) working on affordable housing development and supporting the advancement of a new a community land trust with residents of Boyle Heights and East LA. He is now the Co-President of the land trusts Fideicomiso Comunitario Tierra Libre. After ELACC, he shifted to the foundation space joining Liberty Hill Foundation.
He enjoys staying active, traveling, being in community, and expanding his personal growth.
