Inarú Meléndez Vázquez

Sr Manager, Communications

Inarú supports the communications team in amplifying the work of HIP’s programs, focusing on centering the voices of Latinx in leadership across philanthropy, business, and social justice. Prior to joining HIP, she worked at the Center for Popular Democracy, and a progressive communications firm based in Washington, D.C. that advocated for social, racial, and economic equity in communities across the country through storytelling and strategic communications. She led Spanish-language media outreach and centered on intersectional issues ranging from environmental justice, gender rights, LGBTQ rights, paid family leave, indigenous rights, and racial justice.


Hailing from the Puerto Rican community of Springfield, Massachusetts, she is based in Washington, DC with her beautiful rescued bulldog.
