Before joining HIP, Anayvelyse taught courses in cultural studies, literature, and language at colleges across New York City. She holds a PhD in Latin American & Iberian Cultures and Comparative Literature & Society from Columbia University, and draws on her interests in history and culture research to share the nuances of HIP's interventions with a diverse body of stakeholders.
