Chief Financial Officer

Heidy is an accomplished Finance Executive with over 25 years of experience building and leading high performing teams across various finance functions, including commercial finance, strategic FP&A, and risk management, in multiple industries. Prior to joining HIP, she was the Head of Finance for the Boston Consulting Group’s second-largest system for nearly two decades. In this role she managed $1B+ P&L of nine business units ranging from $10M to $400M, highlighting her expertise in financial oversight and strategic growth.

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Heidy’s academic journey led her to Texas, where she earned her BA in Economics followed by an MBA. Beyond her professional endeavors, Heidy led Alumni Relations and dedicated herself to impactful people’s initiatives, notably in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) with a focus on Latinx communities. Her transition to the nonprofit sector reflects a deep-seated commitment to serving BIPOC communities, further enriching her career.

Residing in Austin, TX, Heidy finds joy in gardening, camping with her beloved family, traveling, cooking, and engaging in volunteer work at her children’s school and various social and community events. Her life outside work is a testament to her passion for nurturing both her family and the wider community.
